  1. "Service" refers to the [App Name] application and all related features provided by the Company, regardless of the device (smartphone, tablet, or any other wired/wireless devices) used.

  1. These Terms shall take effect immediately upon the User downloading or beginning to use the Service.
  2. The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms within the scope of applicable laws. Any changes will be notified within the application or on the official website. </aside>

Article 4 (Purpose of Service and Technical Basis)

  1. This Service is an information-providing assistive tool designed to help visually impaired and low-vision individuals identify medications distributed within the Republic of Korea (South Korea).
  2. The medication information provided by this Service is based on the public open APIs provided by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea. </aside>

Article 5 (No Substitution for Medical Advice - CRITICAL)

  1. ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THIS SERVICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE, NOR SHOULD IT BE TREATED AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR, PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS, ADVICE, PRESCRIPTION, OR TREATMENT BY DOCTORS, PHARMACISTS, OR OTHER HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS.
  2. The User must not rely solely on the information provided by this Service to take, discontinue, or alter any medication dosage. Any medical decisions regarding actual medication intake and prescriptions must be made in consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. </aside>

Article 6 (Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer)

  1. While the Company strives to provide accurate data based on reliable public databases, the Company does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or real-time updates of the data, and shall not be held liable for any delayed, omitted, or incorrect data.
  2. Due to the nature of image recognition technology, errors or inaccuracies may occur depending on the User’s device environment (including but not limited to camera performance, lens cleanliness, capturing angle, and ambient lighting conditions). The Company does not warrant that the recognition results will be 100% accurate.
  3. THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HEALTH INJURIES, ILLNESSES, OR MENTAL DISTRESS, ARISING OUT OF THE USER’S INCORRECT INTAKE OF MEDICATION CAUSED BY SYSTEM ERRORS, RECOGNITION FAILURES, OR INACCURATE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE.
  4. Users have the responsibility to perform a final verification before taking any medication, such as checking the braille text on the package, cross-checking with a guardian, or consulting a medical professional.
  5. As this Service is based on data from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea, information is provided exclusively for medications distributed within South Korea. The Company shall not be held liable for any misidentification, errors, or subsequent damages arising from the User attempting to use the Service outside of South Korea, or scanning foreign-manufactured, direct-imported (overseas purchase), or non-Korean medications. </aside>

Article 7 (Modification and Interruption of Service)

  1. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service due to technical maintenance, equipment replacement, communication failures, suspension of public data APIs, or other force majeure events.
  2. The Company may modify, change, or terminate all or part of the Service based on operational or technical needs, and shall not be liable to compensate the User unless otherwise required by applicable laws. </aside>

Article 8 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

  1. These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Any legal actions or proceedings arising out of the use of this Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Company. </aside>
